Todays the 25th Anniversary of Razorblade Romance album! On such a beautiful date we present you a real rarity - a full 5-minute version of I Love You track in studio quality! But it's not just audio, we made a full visualizer in collaboration with one of the best HIM-themed channels to date - Heartarchive!
So, working on the visualizer was no ordinary task. It took several months to create it, from idea to realization. I managed to restore the original elements of the Razorblade Romance cover design, come up with the main composition, and with the video sequence and publishing helped my good friend, as well as the creator and main content creator of the channel - Heartarchive!"
D.: Hi Heartarchive! For those who don't know, our YouTube channel was taken over a few years ago by a group of crazy remix creators. So, thanks for giving the okay to post the visualizer on yours! Tell us about how you came to create a channel about HIM? What is its main focus?
H.A.: The main focus of Heartarchive is to upload HIM live videos to YouTube in the best possible quality for everyone to enjoy. I noticed that a lot of concerts are only available in very low quality and I wanted to change that. Also it's nice to see people discovering the band through the channel or seeing videos for the first time. Heartarchive is purely a fan page and I don't earn anything from it.
D.: The videos you put out are of great quality! There is no similar HIM channel on YouTube. You can see that a lot of work has been done. Can you tell us more about the process of working on the videos?
H.A.: Most videos were originally recorded from TV or filmed from the audience in SD quality. To avoid YouTube compression, I upscale SD footage to HD. For the best experience, I often make sound enhancements and check that the audio & video are properly synchronized. Sometimes I replace the audio track of a video if there's a better source available.
D.: There are already a lot of concerts on the channel, what else are you going to show us?
H.A.: There will be more live videos to come, but I'm also planning to post different type of cool content in the future, stay tuned!
