Well, tomorrow starts the Farewell tour of HIM (tomorrow the guys will give the first gig in Barcelona, Spain). And on this occasion our dear friend John Wins prepared an excellent promo-teaser of the upcoming tour! Ville Valo wrote the instrumental track for the virtual reality project Downward Spiral: Prologue, released today on Steam store. You can buy the game by link and listen to the song above in the video. The authors of the project promise to continue, so we will wait for new music from maestro!

We did not expect to hear that in the near future. But it happened. HIM complete his artistic career as a musical artist. Yesterday on the air of his radio show, Daniel P. Carter said this unexpected news:

In addition to the completion of HIM activity, it was also announced a farewell band tour, covering 14 countries and comprising a total of 35 live shows. Later will be added the concerts in the United States and Finland, and now you can get acquainted with the already announced dates and plan your farewell with the band by this link. Tickets will be available on 8 March.

Later on HIM official Facebook page appeared a press release about that, where Mr. Valo says:

"After quarter of a century of Love and Metal intertwined we sincerely feel HIM has run its unnatural course and adieus must be said in order to make way for sights, scents and sounds yet unexplored. We completed the pattern, solved the puzzle and turned the key. Thank you."

Thus, the Tears on Tape age became final in the history of our favorite band.

To say that we are saddened by this fact - it is to say nothing. But it happend, and it will have to just accept and move on. Ahead - a year of concerts, enjoy and stay with us!

11 сентября в северной столице нашей родины состоялось крутое мероприятие от организаторов Backstage Secrets - гитарный мастер-класс лучшего гитариста Финляндии Микко Линдстрема aka Linde aka Daniel Lioneye. К сожалению, никто из saintscream не смог побывать там ни реально, ни виртуально (а была онлайн-трансляция, и возможно, будет запись!). Но к счастью, свои люди у нас везде, и сегодня мы рады предоставить мега-информативный и интересный отчет от Марии Чеховой, сдобренный некоторым количеством фотографий с места событий.

«Knowledge is there to be shared, it's not to be hidden»

On Sunday 11th September, Backstage Secrets welcomed Mikko 'Linde' Lindstrom (H.I.M. & Daniel Lioneye) and his guitar tech Kimmo Aroluoma to St Petersburg for an incredible 4 hour guitar masterclass. Eager fans from around the world turned up to the event, as well as people watching at home via live streaming of the whole event. During the master class, Linde and Kimmo covered a wide variety of topics about Linde's guitar rig, and revealed many secrets to achieving his incredible and unique guitar tone. Throughout the session, Linde played along to backing tracks of HIM and Daniel Lioneye songs (including the newly released Vol III) and answered a variety of questions from the audience, both at St Petersburg, and people watching on the internet.
